I'm delighted to welcome Abi Harvey to my blog today. I have to admit this is not my usual gene (SF and Fantasy Romance is what I write and tend to read), but hey, when Abi mentioned in her 'Setting to Adicted To Love' - posted at the end of this spotlight on her book - that it's an 'Enemies-to-Lovers' theme (which I also love and have used myself in the last book of my Trilogy) and also that it features horses and romantic horse rides, how could I resist adding it to my long To Be Read List? So I'm really looking forward to reading it. (and isn't it a gorgeous cover!) Enjoy learning more about Abi Harvey and her latest release, and don't forget to visit the other blogs on this tour (Listed in the banner above.)
Addicted
To Love
Dark,
emotional, and irresistibly intense, Addicted To Love is the seductive sequel
to 2025’s spicy summer read Alcatraz For The Rich. In this next chapter,
temptation is louder, the stakes are higher, and the past refuses to stay
buried. Power still controls the game, secrets still have a price, and loving
the wrong man could cost Maisey everything.
FREEDOM
Maisey Green
has escaped to Tuscany, determined to rebuild her life on her own terms. Away
from the chaos, temptation, and heartbreak she left behind in London, Maisey
loses herself in horseback rides and long sun-drenched days. But her peace is
interrupted by the arrival of Beau Jackson, an American playboy who has
returned to restore his family’s vineyard.
POWER
In New York, billionaire Otto Ravenesky is growing his empire while
carefully managing his image during a high-profile media campaign. Powerful and
untouchable, Otto is always in control but no matter how hard he tries to
suppress it, Maisey remains the one woman he cannot forget.
DESIRE
In a world where power, temptation, and danger are tightly entwined, every
choice Maisey makes will come with consequences.
Torn between two men and the two different lives they offer, Maisey is forced
to confront her past but will she be strong enough to accept what she truly
desires?
Perfect
for readers who crave morally complex characters, high-stakes romance, and love
stories that refuse to play it safe.

A Romantic Escape to Tuscany: The Setting Behind Addicted To Love
By Abi Harvey
In February 2025, I travelled by train from Rome to Tuscany to celebrate Valentine's Day in Florence. As the train left the station and pushed through the urban outskirts, the city’s landscape dissolved into the patchwork rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside. There were miles of vineyards, horses grazing in open fields and rural villages basking in a soft, golden light. It was the perfect romantic view and I remember thinking that it would make the perfect setting for a date. But as a fan of enemies-to-lovers romance, I then started to think ‘what if the two people can’t stand each other’ because as every avid romance reader knows, a romantic setting doesn’t guarantee a romantic connection…
In Addicted To Love, the sequel to my debut novel, Alcatraz For The Rich, Maisey Green escapes to Tuscany following the cliff hanger events of the first book. Far removed from the complications she's left behind in London, Maisey has the opportunity to spend two weeks on a private vineyard to slow down. But the arrival of Beau Jackson, the arrogant American playboy, adds a significant complication to her trip!
One of the things I enjoyed about writing Addicted To Love was immersing myself in the landscape of Tuscany and exploring what happens when two people who are at odds with each other find themselves sharing a textbook romantic experience – horse rides at sunset!
There's an undeniable romance to riding through the Tuscan countryside, as the sun begins to set, a bottle of champagne chills in the cooler and the heat of an intense summer begins to fade. The idyllic landscape is practically conspiring to bring the characters together!
As they ride, they exchange sharp jibes and try to get the better of each other whilst all around them are vineyards, rolling hills and beautiful horses. When the scenery is practically instructing them to fall in love, it’s hard for Maisey and Beau to maintain their arguments and pre-conceived notions about each other.
That’s why I love the enemies-to-lovers trope so much because sexual attraction doesn’t spark at convenient moments!
Maisey arrived in Tuscany hoping to put some distance between herself and the complications of her past and Beau Jackson is hardly the person she would choose to help her do that! However, the vineyard provides a space in where both characters can reveal different sides of themselves and challenge their first impressions and initial antagonism.
Of course, none of that guarantees a happily ever after especially when Beau Jackson is involved! But it does make for the perfect place to begin.
